Every writer and creator of a series probably knows (or should know) about the over-the-top romantic implications that their fans will take.
Monty already knows what plot points he wants to address with his series, and leaves it to Kerry and Miles to fill in the blanks and review it with him.
They're teenagers. They're gonna have crushes on whoever they have crushes on. That's just how life goes, and RWBY does an okay job at reflecting that.Β The series is still young, and it's too early to say that "ships are being destroyed."

Since "Crimson"s hair matches G-Dragon, Sage kinda looks like Taeyang, Neptune's obviously T.O.P, and Sun's hair kinda matches Daesung, I think Ren would be Seungri if he cut his hair to that length.
