Description
Kurapika Kurta is a main character in Hunter x Hunter. The last survivor from the massacred Kurta Tribe Kurapika spent several years training to take the Hunter Exam in order to get his revenge legally as a high level bounty hunter. Kurapika is extremely book-smart and extremely knowledgeable about obscure parts of academia such as ancient languages and obscure costumes. While usually the most level headed of the main characters, (and the one most suited for being in charge in tense situations) Kurapika does have a temper and can be extremely violent and ruthless when fighting. Kurapika is incredibly loyal to his friends even if he's a hard person to actually befriend. In the first two arcs Kurapika fights with a pair of swords tied together to be used as nunchucks, and in the 3rd he transitions over to nen based chain weaponry. He is also known for his elaborate colorful outfits, which is a strange combination of eastern and western marital arts dress.

animeotaku201 had requested i find a role for Japanese action star/professional martial artist Rina Takada (Attack on Titan Live Action (2015)/Karate Girl (2011) I still maintain my previous pick of Alycia Debnam-Carey as a wonder full choice for Kurapika but Rina would also do a great job in the role. She's known for doing extremely tough action lead roles and as black belt she does her own stunts. Kurapika is always drawn as androgynous and i think it would make the most sense for a women to play him. Kurapika is about 17 at the beginning of the series and Rina at 25 could easily play someone around 17/18 years old.
