Why hello all! I think I've mentioned lately that I've had no laptop for the past four months or so, which, of course, has meant absolutely no art at all from me. >< Today, however, I finally got a new laptop running! On the downside, a new laptop means a new operating system, and a new operating system means that my old art programs and equipment (scanner) no longer work. That being said, I've been quickly jumping at new strategies to get into the art scene once again! This picture is the first result of a self-taught crash course with GIMP. Although I still find the program a little awkward to use, I think (and hope) that it will be suitable for my needs. I used the program to clean up this picture from a little pen sketch that I'd made in the margins of a notebook at work weeks ago, and had photographed-- the original sketch was about an inch high!

I hope that later works to come from me will look a bit less messy. =3
