Description Various owls from Late Pleistocene Cuba, including the Noel's (far right corner), and Rivero's (upper center) barn owls, Tyto noeli, and T. riveroi, respectively, with an American barn owl, T. alba furcata, (left corner), for size comparison, and the giant cursorial owl, Ornimegalonyx oteroi, feeding on a pygmy ground sloth.

Ornimegalonyx looks as if it really doesn't want to make eye contact the spooky assortment of owls above it
