After months of learning the norse alphabet Toothless was able to participate in letter sending. He didn't learn enough to add the 'Still love ya' though, Astrid'.A dragon's gotta have his bro's back.
This is somewhat in response to those old 'Dear Hiccup'/'Dear Astrid' letters from eons back when people were hashing out the reasons for Astrid's change of heart and all that. Personally, the romance was blah for me; creating reasons for Astrid's 'eye opener' is great and all that but the fact is you need imagination to give her character (or rather, her actions) some substantial depth. It's Dreamwork's problem for rushing it, really.
No skin off my back.Once again, this is me thinking I'm hilarious. It's not meant to start a rage-fest about who deserves what.

I do think this is the only way they'd manage to make their relationship work - if Hiccup started giving as good as he got. He can include the kissing part too.

I personally like Hiccup and Astrid together...
Well it was obviously really stereotypical... A Genius, geeky nobody guy and a pretty, popular, but really hard to get tomboyish blonde chick.
Dreamworks should have added a scene or two more where Hiccup and Astrid can talk more. The Aladdin sequence was beautiful but that should have come SECOND to some touching dialogue.

If Astrid came off as the tomboyish blonde chick I might have liked her better - but she lacked that down-to-earth quality they tend to have. Camicazi has it in spades though!
