Here you go... not as good as yours, but there it is. At least it let me remember an afternoon strolling on the Hippodrome, fleeing from the food stand hawkers and wondering what it would have looked like in its hey day, so here's my interpretation based on tourism and bad history research. Now I run for cover! [link]

For ten minutes, this was really good! I was drawing this scene at work, too, during a break. I am so bad. Broken arms are not easy to draw, either.
You got his expression very well- angry and terrified and defiant out of desperation. With the torn clothes and the blood and the long, dirty hair he really does look feral.
Good job for you and Your History Textbook

For a while I had to re-read that first sentence a few times thinking "wait...what happened after ten minutes that made it less good?"
I am clearly tired.
You were drawing this scene at work?! Cool! Did you have tragic thoughts on your mind? That doesn't sound like a good place to be in a work environment.
I didn't even attempt to draw the broken arm. I strategically put a viking there.

Ah, the ten minutes comment My way of writing can be confusing, too- I guess hopping back and forth between two languages does not help.
Oh, yeh, during breaks at work I doodle fanfic scenes. Yours happened to be the lucky winner. (Or unlucky based on my drawing style). No tragic thoughts, but it was a very moving chapter.
I am now wondering if this was some sort of divine test Hiccup and Toothless had to pass in the greater scheme of things- that to move on they had to show somehow their willingness to die for each other.

Wow! Garshk, I done been nailing plots! No, it was not obvious. I was just thinking, if I had been writing that scene and considering the character arc of both Hiccup and Toothless learning to work together and grow beyond their own character flaws and that certain divine creatures are watching them... I would probably have this as a crucial test that has some very real life or death consequences. After all, the way I see your fiction, they have some very real life or death challenges ahead of them. The reward- hmm- not dying, at the very least, some sort of healing but hopefully not completely healed like nothing happens- it diminshes their sacrifice, but that's just me.
Thanks on my Toothless comments. Your Hiccup rocks. I was just thinking about, looking at this image, how much you have gradually been making him older since the beginning of the story. He really looks like a late teenager/even early 20s now- and that's awesome. His face is an adult's face here.

Indeed- I think your art was always good, but it's getting even better as you keep doing it. It also helps to have such neat subject matters.
That will be interesting when Astrid finds out about the axe and that incident.
We probably have similar styles with the way we write, so that might be it about the plot similarities.

It's actually supposed to be longer right now...I just had a dumb moment. A lot like the basket incident.
But his hair is actually going to get cut a little before it starts getting pulled back. Toothless will rejoice.

How long did you intend it to be? When I was doodling this it was coming out pretty long.

Well, I picture him with hair falling a little past his shoulders. A length that can rest past his collarbone at least.

Yeh, I guessed that, too, based on this being over a year and he has not cut his hair since leaving Berk, so it would be pretty long and wild.
