Ok, first thing that popped into my head when I saw this, was a chorus of little munchkin voices all saying "Avanna will you tell us a story?"

OOH! And the 'glow' of the title? AND the 'shine' line on the silver words that make it look 3D! 
And AWESOME for adding the composers/artists at the bottom! I hadn't thought of that! But that was GENIUS!

As for the Title, there's an option with text in photoshop that lets you add bevels or glows to the words. I think I went with a glowy-glass effect.

no... I don't have it. A 'best friend' wheedled it out of me 
I'm using SAI, but I'm going to stop soon. SAI is limited I'm finding and I'd just as soon use Photoshop, which allows more brushes, if you can find them

Yeah, I learned on photoshop and after that I was introduced to SAI months later⦠I just couldn't get into it. I feel like photoshop spoiled me. Then again, I also had someone giving me a one-on-one tutorial, so it was easier to learn.

first off??? *INSANE* insane *INSANE* lighting/shadow work going on! Dang, girl! I'm jealous! the way you use shadows to imply the shape and depth/height of her facial features and then the shadows on the shirt?! The hand shadow especially! Such detail! The lights!! 
Pippa looks like she's about to tell a story! And the images hovering around her head just adds to the touch of: 'you know it's going to be GREAT!' And that Pippa's imaginative! She's discovered something. She's getting ready to 'recite' something. She's getting ready to... I don't know, but it REALLY speaks to me volumes.
This is exactly what I'd expect to see on an album cover! I feel like I'm actually holding a CD in my hands right now! I can feel the plastic and the weight of it in my hands.
Pippa looks so mysterious!! With the 'light' of the book merging into the shadows all around her. This is just... wow. Oh WOW!!
I wish there were things call 'Amazingness Bank Deposit Slips'. I'd sign you up for one million and three in a heartbeat!!

I am SO SO HAPPY that YOU'RE happy!
Honestly, I never expected to go all the way with the lighting like I did. I tried to really embody the spirit of your art when I did it. I wanted beautiful whispies and glowy-ness and a sense of whimsy. I wanted her to look a tad mischievous and I am SO happy that her expression worked out for you. I mean, the longer I worked on this the more little nitpicks I had with it, but having you see it with fresh eyes and being so happy with it makes me so happy. I just wanted this to really represent your story.

You do such an amazing job representing the story, Avanna-- and getting to the heart of what's going on in the book AND in the minds of the characters-- of ALL the stories that you represent/describe and essay about! It blows my mind how you just *nail* it. IT's a gift!
