The Bog Isles: Wetlands populated by an all-female tribe known as the Bog Burglars, separated into two main islands. The climate is humid, sulfuric, and mucky. Houses are often elevated due to the terrain. Livestock graze on the rich grass of the highlands, but must be watched by thralls or Bog children so as not to wander into a bog and drown.

Key areas:

Nordland
The larger, northern Island of the Bogs. A few hours’ boat ride from Hysteria and with Mt. Villainy in clear view of the Mess Hall. The Chieftess traditionally resides on this island. The Temple of Freya is on it as well.
Sydgrund
The smaller, southern island of the Bogs. Fishing posts are along the shore and the Temple of Jorn resides here. Backmarsh dwellers protect the Isles from Southern invaders.
Shrine Isles
A cluster of small islands considered separate from the two main islands. On them are the individual shrines to the lesser godesses Bogs revere. They’re often visited before rituals, life milestones, or war.
Ropeless Hopes
The rickety rope bridge connecting the North island to the South island. It was formerly known as the Hopeless Ropes, but over the centuries, as the ropes wore away to a perilous web, the name reversed.
Hives
Honey and other bee products are one of the Bogs’ biggest exports. The climate, particularly of the southern island, is ideal for fauna and bee life.
Gelding Grounds
Where ding dongs go to die. Whether this is true or not, only the Bogs know. But rumors are cultivated and spread that boys caught sneaking into Bog territory are brought here and castrated.
