Description So I came across a Touhou fanwork called "Osana Reimu"; and like an idiot, I binge-watched the whole series and its sequel in one sitting. So now I've developed what's known as "broken heart syndrome".

I should be fine, yet my chest just will not stop hurting.

Just wait 'till you get Reireimu, the sequel to Osana Reimu.
Admittedly, the ending is a little...strange, but it's still an emotional ride.

Yes it is. And seeing how I've been having chest pains, shortness of breath, and crying fits since last night; I'd say I got it.

Yup, and it's from a number of emotionally stressful moments. Also, it comes from those octopus traps.

It was a very beautiful story, and really close to canon too. In fact it was so well written every tragic moment in it kick-started my empathy drive.

By the end of it, I was practically drowning in tears.
