Description Name: Itsá "Artie" Arnolds
Born: July 21, 1859; Santa Fe, New Mexico Territory
Died: October 26, 1933; Los Angeles, California (age 74)
Allegiance: Assassins

Bio: Istá “Artie” Arnolds was born in Santa Fe to an American sheriff and his Apache bride.  His father was a well respected lawman in his neighborhood, but the townsfolk often cast looks at his Native wife, whom they thought (though wouldn't openly say) of her as a savage.  When Artie was 10, his mother mysteriously disappeared, and was presumed dead.  Artie and his father were devastated, and they moved to the newly formed Lincoln County in 1869 to try and get away from everything.  It was in this small town that he met a girl named Pauline Anderson, daughter of one of the owner of a local saloon.  The two became best friends, and later lovers.  In their teens, they visited each other in secret quite often.  Artie and his father often butted heads on many matters, but they managed to pull through and make up most of the time.

Tragedy tore them all apart in 1876, however.  Artie’s father was dragged out of their home on charges of murder, despite having just locked up one of the town's most hated criminals.  Despite Artie’s attempts to rescue him, his father was hanged in the middle of town.  Distraught, confused, and now wanted man, Artie knew he had to flee town.  He gave one last goodbye to his beloved Pauline, grabbed a horse, and rode out into the desert, never to be seen again.  Or so the people of Lincoln thought.  After days of hard travel, Artie ended up passing out in the middle of the desert night.  When he next awoke, he found himself in a small Apache settlement.  He was being attended by an older woman, whom he was shocked to see was his long lost mother.  After a tearful fit of hugs, she explained that she had to leave when he was a child because the townsfolk forced her too, but that she also kept close eye on him growing up.  She revealed another shocking truth as well: a massive conspiracy was afoot in the west, one that included but went far beyond the death of his father.  She explained she was an Assassin, and their enemies were the Templars who were trying to take over these untamed lands.  Artie ultimately volunteered to join the Assassins and train under his mother.

After two years of training, Artie finally returned to Lincoln in 1878.  After a tearful reunion with Pauline (who was now making quite the fortune as a saloon girl), she informed him that chaos had plagued the town ever since the murder of John Tunstall.  Artie discovered that the Templars were using the feuds that were erupting after the murder as an excuse to step in and claim power for themselves.  He found the main ringleader, William Brady, and ended his life.  He then began to track down the main gunmen of all the rival possies that made up the two sides of the Lincoln County War.  He killed Dick Brewer at the Gunfight at Blazer’s Mill, Alexander McSween at the Battle of Lincoln, and in 1881 he also added Billy the Kid to his list of kills.  From Billy, he discovered a Templar plot in the town of Tombstone in the Arizona Territory, and he decided that that was where his journey needed to take him next.  He and Pauline grabbed their supplies and horses, and they rode off to Tombstone.

In Tombstone, Artie discovered that the town was run by a powerful Templar family known as the Earps, along with their allies such as Doc Holliday.  Family and feudal tensions caused much distress in the town, and Artie eventually found himself caught in the middle of the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral against the Earps and Holliday.  The Templars managed to walk away alive, though Artie killed Morgan Earp the following year.  From that point on, Artie made it his sole mission to put an end to the Earps and any Templars who aided them.  He also helped his mother and Apache leader Geronimo defend their people during the Apache Wars around the same time.

Chasing down the Templars took years, and resulted in Artie and Pauline rarely having the chance to settle in one place.  They chased Earp to Dodge City in 1883, and to Colorado in 1886.  Artie managed to kill Holliday in 1887, but the Earps had managed to slip away.  Artie and Pauline followed their trail to California, and later to Nevada in 1902.  Artie killed Virgil Earp in 1905, but the eldest Earp slipped away yet again.

Artie and Pauline eventually changed their tactics, deciding that if they couldn't kill Wyatt, then they'd ruin all his Templar plots and soil his reputation.  The two settled down in Los Angeles, California, where they operated their Assassin goals and started a family.  They married in 1906 and had their son, Bodaway, that same year.  Wyatt eventually died in 1929.  Artie had lived just long enough to see justice brought to his father, before finally passing away peacefully and joining his father in 1933.

He is an ancestor of Ava Arlie.

I wish they would make a Wild West/Civil War Assassin's Creed game.

I definitely would've preferred they moved in that direction instead of the ancient stuff.  I would've liked a War of 1812 story too though I guess if they did that now, my fanfiction would get torn to shreds XD

Glad you like him
I don't know anything about the first two but Billy the Kid I kinda just kinda made a semi-neutral mercenary that only got won over by Templar coin during the Lincoln County War.
