Bio: Silas Melbourne was one of the members of the Legion Ranger Corps, 26th Regiment, known as the Sand Rats, who were responsible for patrolling the deserts between the borders of Midway and the Afreinian Empire. While his regiment helped keep the borders safe for many years, many in his unit noticed that Melbourne would disappear for days at a time, only reappearing later in the base camp as if nothing had happened. The commanding officer of his unit, Lieutenant Douglas Barrows, decided to teach Melbourne a lesson and had him confined to the stockade under charges of dereliction of duty. It wasn't until a couple days later that a scouting party of Afreinian clone warriors ambushed the unit's camp and threw the rangers into a panic. It was learned that Melbourne hadn't been shirking duty, but had been hiding out in a dead tree all those times, picking off curious Afreinian scouts with his scoped M50 rifle, lest they discover the location of the unit's camp. Upon returning to the Legion fortress in Midway, Melbourne requested transfer to the Outcasts, where his talents with a long-gun would be put to better use than with the Sand Rats. He is currently the only member of the team who joined up willingly and continues to be an active volunteer in their missions.
