In my headcanon though, he's in his fifties or so, or whatever the equivalent for a shadow-pony would be, so your version looks too young to my eye.

So I like the experimenting you're doing with how you're drawing faces and the noses are looking seriously awesome. Also Adams apples? Kick ass.
One thing to keep in mind though that I'm noticing is how far apart you place the eyes. The general rule for eye width is that you should be able to place one eye in between the eyes. (I think this varies though if you're not drawing someone with Caucasian features. ...I gotta look into that one.) Eyes also tend to be on the same line? So if you use guidelines at all while sketching I think that'd help a lot.

Ah. You're right. I am being spacey with the eyes. And I was gonna make the one eye move up a bit but I forgot to do that when I was psing the picture.
