Description
The tallest mountain range in the world may be along the Cho-Em Plateau in Hemeraea, but the longest range by far is the Kumitayku range in southern Pelia. In effect, it is Southern Pelia where the continent pushes against the Southern Ocean and creates a long equatorial plateau–an extra-long Peru, if you will, with the seas to the south and jungles to the north. Those jungles, in fact, are some of the lushest land on Earth, still largely given over to Nusajúrã tribes to this day.
It is morning, the Hour of the Rabbit in Salvian timekeeping. The air is lush, and early morning insects chirp eagerly. Perhaps a family of capybaras will come by later, or a small herd of tusklings. There may be caimans half-asleep on the banks, as fish move as quickly as they can to keep oxygenated in the thin waters. In the distance, straight ahead but lost by miles, you may hear the groan of the mountains–and the shrieks and roars as the Winged People go on another raid of the lowlands.
