I mean no disrespect and am not trying to be mean.
if all this is too you is art ignore the rest of this.
if this is about design and functional replication please read the rest of this.
it would be way to slow.
its guns would never have the distance or accuracy to make any difference in a battle.
its armor and weaponry make it way to heavy to be air dropped into battle, and even if some messed up configuration could get it off the ground they would only become the worlds largest flying target at a super low pace.
its armor couldn't be strong enough to take high power long range shells and no way its fast enough to get out of the way in time.
I conclude in saying that this thing has 2 major flaws its too big and not nearly fast enough.
might I make a suggestion?
use a central sphere as a wheel and the legs as high speed control systems, but in that case you only need 4 legs.
Lastly for give my grammar, spelling, and such, thank you.

Hi Jo
Thanks for the feedback its always welcome.
So firstly it has many different weapons that can be fitted to the "8 customisable slots" that can serve many different purposes, secondly speed is not a problem for it has a 360 laser defense system that can shoot down missiles and explosive projectiles, secondly it has a dome force field that can stop a lot of incoming damage, anything that could get close enough to get under the shield will be dead long before it dose so.
Also its armor will stop 90% of all missiles and shells that are fired at it, to kill it you would need a lot of fire power hitting on a weak spot, and it only needs 4 legs to walk and 1 gun to be a big threat to anything, and lets sayΒ you disable 6 legs and kill all its exterior weapons it has an repair system that can fix it quiet quickly and bring it back to the fight.
Cheers dude.

my ony thoughts are maybe give the outer toe on the foot some possibility for rotation and/or extension. That way it can climb a bit easier should it need to reshape it's footpads.

Nar it doesn't need it, this thing is heave enough so its feet wont slip even when going up steep hills also it has 4 feet on the ground at all times, and there is 75 tons on each foot so they will dig into the ground quiet a bit to providing extra grip.
Also think of a mountain Goat.

I can imagine this as being a preferred mecha used in low grav situations, where it could be dropped from orbit onto a lunascape. I can see a drop-off booster/descent module and some sort of low grav para deploying from its crown.
Also, it could be the main component in a forward combat base/fortress, where a quad of these would link up, and the combat engineers would construct/connect armored pre-fab living modules to them.
Can't wait to see them evolve! Β
