Jeremy Brett was awesome! I read the Holmes stories when I was a kid and the series he was in was dead-on. I haven't seen the new Downey movie, and it looks fun, but it doesn't look like Holmes.

I saw the new movie last week. It's an okay steampunk thriller but not a Sherlock Holmes movie at all. Think of 'The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen' meets 'From Hell' - but in a bad, dumbed-down way.
