Description During Easy Company's assault on Carentan, Sergeant Lipton is wounded by the Stielgranate 41 of a 3.7 cm Pak 36. Sergeant Talbert rushes to his comrade's side.

Thanks, it's been my first drawing in a while. Trying to ease into a more shaded and less linear approach. But I do like clean lines.

I wish I had the dedication to draw like that. Oh well.

Uhm. On SGT Talbert's right leg, is his knife really meant to be that low, such that it's near his foot? Because it'd take ages (comparatively, anyway) to draw it out and then attack. You'd have to bend down first or lift your leg up. Oh well.

The detail was simplistic, yet effective. And the fact that you don't include SGT Lipton's face adds an air of mystery to this image.

It's his M3 Trench knife in a M6 leather scabbard. I assume it's used mainly as a back up armament or for covert use. Also note the bayonet on his hip.
