Description
Well, this just started up with the idea of a creepy monster wearing a tricorne hat and then it spiralled out into a whole new setting and now I’m rather intrigued by the Ironwoods. I've got about five more monsters thought up already, but I’ll only put them up if there’s any interest. Also, I’ll lie and say they’re way better than these two.

The Cold Men
The Cold Men are strange, gangly creatures from the Ironwoods, a strange world of endless, moonlit forests. They are eyeless, but they can hear the faintest breath and feel a person’s heartbeat. With their razor-like claws and sharp teeth they can eviscerate a man in seconds. On the other hand, they can’t stand the heat and light and will only hunt on winter nights on Earth.

The Cold Men have found openings from their world to ours and have started to slip through. Earth is hot and strange, but safer and with an ample food supply. They also find humans intriguing (as well as tasty), as they used to have nothing more advanced than stone tools. The Cold Men are fascinated with human creations and will try to make friends with humans to get their items. They will also feed on humans only when they are sure they can’t be traced, since they don’t want their supply to disappear.

The Skulkers
The Skulkers are vicious predators from the Ironwoods. Despite their awkward appearance, they are incredibly agile and can run as fast as a horse. Their sharp claws allow them to climb or punch through flesh and bone. They will hunt Cold Men and vice versa, but the Skulkers generally win.

The Skulkers have sometimes found the openings to Earth and will gladly hunt there. Cold Men will generally join forces with the hunts to drive them out, since they don’t like competition for their food.
