This is amazing! I like how you do small gradual shading until it gets darker and darker especially with his hair. Β

I must say that I appreciate this a lot. I never got a good education in art, I just use the talent my mother gave me and go, lol. My art teacher did her best, but i can't say she was a good teacher -_- Anyway, i like this a lot.

It's amazing.
I thank you for showing your steps, otherwise I would be left in wonder and with thousands of questions!
XD
I've read other comments to make sure that you haven't answered my questions already and you mostly have.
The only question I have is, you say that you use a long stick under your drawing hand to prevent smudging.
I don't quite get what you mean when you say that, can you explain. I'm really sorry if it's a simple thing and I'm completely missing it. ^^'
I sometimes don't understand the simplest of things.
Beautiful work though!
Very inspiring. I want to try my hand at such a magnitude of drawing some day.

the left hand hold the stick in an angle above the paper and lean the right drawing hand on it

How do you keep from smudging accidently while you are working? I noticed in some areas of your work, there is a little bit, but it gets cleaned up later. That can be easily explained with an eraser, but it definatly is not nearly as smudged as mine turn out to be.

I usually hold a long stick under my drawing hand, so that you can lean on it
