Ahhh classic. While I find emo's to be annoying majority of the time.. I must say your music list is FUCKING SHIT. Metalheads will mock you for it, punks will mock you for it and even people into metalcore will mock you for it. It's a list of bands that someone who hasn't been taught about real music throws up when they think they are alternative. Any COF post damnation and a day is fucking gay. Bring me the horizon is fronted by the BIGGEST scene kid (emo) in the world and is known as such. Not to mention they sound like generic crap. I think some people are a little confused what emo is. It's not those people who put on loads of make-up, wear super tight pants, and slit their wrist everyday. Those people are posers. Wannabes. Crack heads, and so on. 'Emo' is short for 'emotional'. Meaning someone who is a little over dramatic. And somehow that morphed into cutting yourself. Shit I dunno how, but it did. Perhaps as the modern culture following. True that people follow it blindly to be cool. But if you are using that reason, punks and metalheads etc are all doing the same. Emo is over 20 years old so emo in itself was never a trend but a genre of music. Just people have become confused and tried to use it as a fashion trend or to get popular in school or feel special.
Truth is Japanese culture is also a sad trend, which I was also slightly into back like 5 years ago. But while it's a sad trend, it was a cultural following within a few caucasions before it become a trend.

That's exactly my point retard, if you did any real research besides what you say people on some online forums say you'd realize that emo is too a music style which was developed in then 80s and is a subgenre of punk. Wow guess what that makes emo just like punk and metal. Aweh. It came through as an insult rather than advice. Hence my reply, if someone goes at me I'll go at them twice as hard. Fact is I hardly listen to any emo music, and I am all about positive hardcore.. Have Heart, Verse, Hatebreed, xlooking forwardx etc. But as can be seen this was uploaded like almost 4 years ago or something rediculous, before emo was less whiney and more about what it really is.. A genre that doesn't require one to frunt and act tough and to realize that some things do require emotion. And if emo kids want to be upset fine with me. I just think cutting and whining about small things are stupid.

lol I'm not a sell out. But the emo genre is, at the time when I made this emo was still fairly underground, but since bands like MCR,FOB etc. It has become a popular mtv trend. No longer an underground music movement. Which fails, though I still listen to some music that would be classified under the emo genre, just not pop-emo
