Today is Seth's birthday so what better moment to draw for this occasion than his crowning glory at WrestleMania 31. The moment I saw this shot I knew I wanted to draw it. He looks so happy attaining the greatest title in the business and the fireworks erupting behind the stage just made this shot even more epic. I originally sketched this out digitally, but I wanted to color it traditionally. Seth, the belt, and the WrestleMania stager were mostly all done in my new set of prisma color pencils. The fireworks just weren't coming out as well with those so I just started using my oil pastel crayons for most of the sky and fireworks. Lastly created more distinct fireworks, brightened the stage lights, and highlighted Seth with some acrylic paints (sort of a hodge podge of mediums. In a lot of ways I wish I could have executed the fireworks and smoke better, but I still like the outcome, it kind of gives an abstract feel to it. Hope you all like it!
