Happy you liked it!

Which FF is your fave?
LOL I haven't played quite that many XD but my faves are 8 and X-2. The first for the characters, and the latter for replayability and such pretty scenery and colors! lol I like all the mini games. XD And 7 for the lore, and I haven't played it but I watched it and I LOVED the story in Crisis Core; DA FEELS OMG.
haha It was actually the leaves that made me scream. I was SO fed up with painting vegetation.
I applaud your lack of typos in phone-typing!

You know, I have no idea..... X was the first one I played, but I also really liked 1, 2 and 3. And 7 just had the best story.
I do know the one that annoyed me the most though. Definitely Crystal Chronicles. Been ages since I played it and I can STILL hear the music in my head x.x
Loving the leaves, though. They're very impressive.
Hahah my phone didn't know the word 'chronicles'. And I couldn't remember the spelling xD Doesn't help I use it in five different languages either. Poor thing has no clue what to suggest as spelling by now.
dA on a phone is really annoying due to the jumping in margin. At some point posts are just columns of letters.

I can't remember which one I played first. But I do remember wishing X had more save spots, because I couldn't do my usual, "I have 30 mins, let's game a little!" bc I was slammed with a movie scene XD haha
LMAO For me, it's the Triple Triad music in FF8 that gives me bad flashbacks. haha Everyone loved Triple Triad but I hated it!
I wasn't able to finish FF7 Dirge of Cerberus. It helped me discover that I'm terrible at FPS. And then I finally locked myself in a room with a boss and no vending machine, ill-equipped.
OMG that with the column of letters!! I've seen posts like that, so annoying!

I don't think I've actually beaten FF7, tbh. ( Can't recall! xD! ) Did get the golden chocobo, though
And yeesssss agreed on the save orb things in X. So annoying.
It might be better on the app, but when I use my phone, I'm on the web version.
...I still cannot think of a question for your character. Though I'm kinda curious if his species lays eggs or not. But that would be a rude question, in my opinion.

That's so cool, tbh.
He kinda reminds me of an Inca. Were you going for that?

Their leader, Quetzal, actually got the nature Element transferred to him while he was still an egg.
No, not really. I took the markings on the bird and tried to come up with ways to represent them with jewelry, clothes, etc.

The bird is secretly what remains of the Inca empire. It all makes sense now!
What is their natural form? Birdlike? Are they shapeshifters? ( Asking you, not him, cause I already asked him something )

LMAO!
Their natural form is bird. They're shifters, but their bird form looks like a completely normal bird. Advanced Aves are really long lived, though, so they're a special species, different from normal birds (aside from the shifting). In their humanoid forms, some look more human than others. This guy, for example, the beak and feathers and those "stones" on his head are attached to him; they're part of his body. Gebreel (who you saw in sketches) has part of his skin black, and the feathers on his face are attached, too. There was this kid I drew some years ago, based on a blackburnian warbler, who had grey skin with orange spots (but I didn't like how it came out so I never posted him).
Others, like Quetzal, don't have any birdlike appendages (he just has green and orange hair, and green eyes), and Astrapia (no finished drawings of her yet) look completely human.
They seldom leave their tribe, so humans don't normally get to see them, and the tribe's location is secret and protected. There is one in the story who left for good, though, but that was an exception rather than the norm. And Quetzal does travel outside and even into the human world (though he doesn't let himself be seen), as part of Alexander's project. Astrapia, though, works as an inter-species liaison for the tribe, so she has to travel in and out for her job.

Interesting.
( also let me know when if I ask too much, I'm fascinated and can't help myself )
Why the humanoid second form? Where did it come from?

barananduen In reply to Myrrael [2019-08-07 18:33:23 +0000 UTC]
It's not a problem!
If you mean to ask if there was a human ancestor down the line, no, there wasn't. Why they shift into humans and not, say... cats, I don't know, TBH. XD It's not really necessary for the plot, as the story doesn't center around the tribe. Lots of other non-humans have humanoid appearances in this story world, though. Some species do have human ancestors, but that's not always the case.

Oh no, I was kinda wondering if there was some divine intervention on the bird race or some sort of blessing or curse.
Also a bird/ cat shapeshifting race would be..... aaahhh... INTERESTING ( and dangerous wow.... )

It's magic, yes XD In this story world, magic is a thing, and it's wielded by non-humans, usually by Elementals, though non-Elementals can bear the effects of it, even if they can't cast magic themselves (like the merfolk... but that's another story for another day XD long story).
And there are indeed extra-terrestrial creatures, like the angels (Alexander and Julian, for example), who are Heavenly creatures; and the Astros, who are from space and of no particular planet, though as far as I know, no Astros currently reside in or visit Earth during the time of the main storyline... much to some characters' frustration, might I add. XD
