I'm sure, everybody in the NiGHTS community knows about Selph. A boss cut from the game. Somebody who was found, only because a song that wasn't in the final game got discovered. Nothing, but a name tag, an emblem and some mysterious assets found in the code. A mirage, a glimpse of something we could have.
And one of the biggest mysteries in the fandom.

Ok, ok, I'm being overly dramatic here, lmao.
Here you can see how I interpret this character. I found out about them a while ago and I'm pretty intrigued about what Selph could be.
I know that Selph's discovered name tag says "Self", which means SEGA has decided to spell his name correctly, instead of it being unique (it was earlier spelled Selph, but got changed to Self later on). I call them Selph anyway, it's a personal preference of mine. Their name just looks more quirky that way.

In the end design I gave them a mirror for a face, because a lack of facial features made them more mysterious and cold. Also I headcanon them reflecting their opponents. I made their cape all glittery, just because it made them look a bit extra and I don't know when to stop myself froma drawing.
