Noting that the engine pictured is having a "three yearly overhaul" to quote the CME, i think it is relatively secure for a few years at least. They would like to exchange two kriegsloks for a diesel somewhere in the future, but they have five of them overall, and as i was told, they are pretty economical there as they run on local lignite that the company transports.

Why on earth would they want an exchange like that?  Keep the steam infrastructure and all the steam engines to make things simpler, keep alive the traditions, and do not trade two locomotives for one......
