Description I really can't believe it. George Carlin has died. I never really heard his jokes, but I grew up hearing his voice and seeing him as Mr.Conductor on Shining Time Station after Ringo Starr left. Carlin had such a high-pitch sound just like a whistle.

He actually gave the engines more life and personality when he voiced them, a lot better that Ringo and Alec Baldwin could ever do. Sure he had a big mouth that got him arrested, but I'll always remember him as the kind-hearted Mr.Conductor, who used his magic to bring happiness, living inside of the Shining Time Station wall paintings

Farewell Mr.C. we hope you rest in peace. Your storytelling was, how should I say this...Most Excellent, Dude (too much Bill and Ted, haha.)

You all can joke on me, I dont care, but what he did is something i still hold to my heart. That's something that can never be broken

I remember watching Thomas when I was a baby and I still love Thomas and his unforgettable adventures and I also remember watching "Shining Time Station" on South Carolina ETV from the mid to late 1990s and on Nick Jr. when "Thomas & The Magic Railroad" was being promoted. I also enjoyed his role as Fillmore the hippie van in "Cars"Β and I have some books written by Carlin. But, this is mainly about my connection with Carlin narrating Thomas. Carlin brought chemistry together between Thomas and all of his friends. I mean Carlin had a proper voice and he did a spot on job! No narrator can replicate Carlin nor his off-color humor and I have a copy of "A Place For My Stuff" on CD.

I wonder why Willie Rushton (a million times better) doesn't get this kind of tribute, he narrated some of the best stories ever, e.g Culdee Fell railway, the small railway, super rescue, the REAL Stepney the Bluebell Engine and a lot more

That's because you are a Railway Series fag and only cares about the books but not the actual show?! Seriously! You're such aΒ RWS purist, RWSReborn2015 who worships and treats Wilbert Awdry like a God and goes on and on about how Britt Alcroft is the spawn of Satin, I mean come on! I understand that she was not perfect, but if she never existed Thomsd would have never become a TV series, and the TTTE fanbase would only be limited to a few 100 people who read the Railway Series. And even though I lost interest in her work due to a certain movie, giver her a break for crying out loud!

he, along with Ringo Starr, made shining time truly great. plus the guy was damn funny!

R.I.P. george Carlin, hope he is still riding the rails and telling it like it is even up in heaven.

Rest in peace, Rufus. May the Wyld Stallions and God guide you on your journey. And say hi to Serendipity for me.

(I know it's a bit of a stretch, but working with Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, and Kevin Smith are the only things I know about him.)
