After a brief hiatus, here is the penultimate addition to my series of my OC, Matilda Winkybunion, in each of her many world costumes, Banjo-Tooie edition:
Welp, y'all know the drill.. Let's get this party started, already!

Mayahem Temple: Miss Matilda's first costume into the first world in 2 years is, naturally, Mayan themed. The design of the costume is, in short, based on that of a kind of Amazon, if you will. Befitting of any female warrior, this dress is designed for battle, with an armored leather skirt, (inspired by that worn by Xena: Warrior Princess) and carries the influence of Mayan culture, including colorful jewelry (arm cuffs, earrings, and a collar necklace), foot and calf bindings, tribal paint markings, and, perhaps most notably, a helmet, which, if you noticed, resembles a Stony; And for good reason, as it is in fact the remains of a most likely dead Stony. As for what it's doing on Matilda's head? Simple - Wearing it allows her to understand Stony language, of course! Her other most notable features are her weapons: A tomahawk and a jeweled shield - Both of which are a must when surrounded by ferocious inhabitants such as club-wielding feline warriors and dart-spitting statues!

Glitter Gulch Mine:Descending into the dark, gritty yet shiny environs of this world, Mattie takes on a sort-of "coal-miner's daughter" look, if you will. Her costume is of a 19th century style; A rich burgandy dress possessing a white collar and short, puffed sleeves; Even her hair is styled into a pair of bow-tipped pigtails! Not all of the outfit is totally dainty and ladylike, however - The cowgirl boots on her feet and pickaxe weapon/tool show her readiness to work hard and get her hands dirty in hers and her friends' pursuit of gold.

Witchyworld: As always, in any disreputable environment such as Witchyworld, it helps to blend in as best as one can. In this case, Mattie dons the wardrobe of something like a hybrid of magician (referring to the black tuxedo, coattails, as well as a top hat and cane) and mime/clown. (Evidenced by the long, striped leggings, and of course, the unmistakable circus facepaint - The ponytails, with their highlights of hair dye are a nice touch, too!) Mattie's primary weapon is her magician's wand; With just a swish, she can make baddies disappear. Then if she so chooses, can carry them into her impossibly stretchy hat, and throw them at other enemies! (Similar to Sonic's level-up move "Magic Hands", from Sonic Adventure 2) ..On the subject of the flexibility of said hat, Mattie also has the ability to hide inside of it from danger, similar to Banjo's "Shack Pack" move. Mattie is also overall more agile and acrobatic in this form.

Jolly Roger's Lagoon:Since the majority of this world is underwater, Matilda requires a disguise meant for swimming and/or blending in. In this case, she her dress takes the shape of a mermaid, with a scaly torso and tail with billowing fins; Although Mattie's legs are still free for walking on land. Whether or not this costume actually helps Mattie to swim any better or worse is unclear. One thing is for sure, though; This form has no need for gills, thanks to Mumbo's ever-so-handy Oxygen Spell!
(..Well, and also, wearing this second skin does give Matilda the ability to understand and even communicate with fish) As for self-defense? She carries an ornate Neptunian trident for an attack weapon, and possesses a special move called "Siren Song", which is basically her equivalent of Banjo and Kazooie's "Sonic Ping" move in their Submarine form. (Also, check out Mattie's colorful seashells, pearl jewelry, and starfish hair barrette!)

Terrydactyland:Stepping foot into this prehistoric world turns Mattie into nothing less than a comely cavewoman, clad in a spotted leopard-skin dress, armlets made out of animal teeth and pebbles, and earrings made from 2 more fangs. Her feet are bare, and as a weapon, she carries a large bone which can function as either a standard club, or a boomerang! (..Or "bonermerang"? An admittedly shameless reverence to the the Pokemon Marowak, heh heh heh..) ..Speaking of self-defense, don't be surprised if one or more of those dirty cavemen try to take her for a wife, due to her comely features. But unfortunately for them, she ain't interested!

Grunty Industries: In such an unhygienic environment such as this, any form Matilda takes would have to be one made for cleaning up messes, right? And so, we find her in the role of a maid/female custodian. Rather than a jumpsuit like all the other workers, Mattie wears a simple smock dress ('cuz all her outfits are dresses, after all) and apron with pockets for holding various tools. The bandanna on her head not only holds her hair out of the way, but also can double as a makeshift mask for venturing into the more dangerously toxic areas of the factory. For weapons, Mattie wields 1, a mop (for the third and hopefully LAST time in this series) which is kept constantly wet and serves as a melee weapon against the Guvnors, Minjos, and even the Klangs. But while this is all well and good, the mop is NOT to be used as a melee weapon against Tintops, as attempting to do so with get poor Mattie electrocuted, costing her some health! No, to defeat a Tintop, she must simply flick water at it from her other weapon, the bucket. Doing so will cause the robot to malfunction and die. The bucket also works on those horrid little gas clouds left behind after a Toxi-Klang is defeated, especially when the entire bucketful of water if tossed at one. As Matilda is a flesh-and-blood human like the rest of us, she has no access to the "mechanical personnel only" areas, and is happy to leave those jobs to her bear and bird (or washing machine) friends.

Hailfire Peaks: Despite the highly polarized climate of this world, Matilda requires only one form therein, that of a "Snow Queen", and wears the classic gown design of such. (Albeit with a shorter skirt to maintain her personal look) In addition to the gown that sparkles like fresh-fallen snow, Mattie also possesses a soft fur mini-cape for warmth. The sparkling tiara, elegant shoes and snowflake-shaped earrings all add to her image of a queen, which helps (or is at least is meant to) inspire some intimidation in the local baddies. On that note, the weapon in her hand is a magic scepter with a snowflake tip, capable of taking on both Lava Side and Icy Side enemies alike, though she finds it especially effective and satisfying on the fiery foes!

Cloud Cuckooland: In this topsy-turvey sky-high world lacking much in the way of solid ground to stand on, any disguise for this world would have to be airborne, right? Thus, Matilda appears as a mix of fairy/angel, with not only tiny angel wings (which should have no more business being able to fly than those of a bee, but that's Cloud Cuckooland for you), and a golden halo (she's NOT DEAD, btw), but also a frilly pink dress specifically designed to her resembled that worn by Brentilda. (Mattie's mother, incidentally). Her, umm.. weapon is like, a magic wand designed to look like a cartoonish-looking daisy? ..Okay. Whatever works for you, Sweetie! (Like I said, it IS Cloud Cuckooland, after all.)

..As for what Matilda's motives are for following Banjo and Kazooie on their quest (albeit at a distance and at arms length, as always), well I'm thinking that she maybe felt guilty about betraying her aunt Gruntilda when she changed sides to help the bear and bird heroes 2 years ago, leaving her underneath a boulder to rot for so long, that she secretly wanted to reach Cauldron Keep in the hopes of apologizing to Grunty, and/or try to persuade her other two aunts (Mingella and Blobbelda) to spare the Isle O' Hags' life force. Unfortunately, she arrived too late, only to find them latter two squashed dead under 1-ton weights. As Matilda grew up comparatively fond of Mingy and Blobby (as opposed to Grutny) whenever they visited, the sight of their deaths left her horrified. This would be the first of a series of years that would hold much trauma and emotional turmoil for the gentle maiden witch..
