Well, I did buy the first book to this old old gem of a manga, and so I desided to do the major kid characters...(I would have drawn Nokita's mom and dad too, since I ESPECIALLY like THEIR personalities, but I figured since most of the characters I had were kids, I'd leave it with that.)

It is pretty funny. Though the style is kind of a mix between mine and it. Still, it's one of those "all you need to know is the basic setup and you can read any story you want" sort of deals.

I got mine at a local book store in Chinatown that sells stuff from all over Asia. It's also from that same bookstore that I got my copy of DG.

(sigh) Dokonjo Gaeru. Sorry for sounding testy but I shorthanded it cause I don't like to have to get out the correct spelling everytime and it IS my favorite.
Also, I'm in Seattle. The book was bilingual- japanese and english.

Mine, I'm guessing, was a "Teaching english as a second language" deal. The text balloons had english in them, and along the edges were the japanese equivilants.

I love your renditions of the characters. 
I grew up loving Doraemon and recently I've been revisiting the series because it's just awesome and I'm trying to learn Japanese and Chinese.

I bought a book cause it was in a special Bi-lingual format for teaching Japanese-speaking people English(Or, hopefully vice versa.) and I wanted to try my hand at making a fan translation of DokonjΓ΄ Gaeru(Which I am STILL crazy over.). I honestly loved what I read, and I kind of want to see more- finally understanding just WHY that robocat's face appears on so much candy and merchandise...
... Don't get me wrong though, DokonjΓ΄ Gaeru's still my favorite, but after that, Doraemon rocks.

THIS is a franchise waiting to happen. I mean, there's been a Doraemon movie every year for I don't know how long. You'd think someone would've tried repackaging it for American consumption by now. Not that I want some outfit like 4Kids to screw it up, but I have to wonder. Anyway, thanks for spreading the word.
