It's been a few years, Chihiro has grown, but the memory of Haku is still alive, leaving her wondering on his last words-- a promise that they would meet again.You know, i'm not even going to call this a sketch, because , it's definitely gone beyond that point, but this idea was on the roster for my 30 day sketch challenge, and I wanted to make it special. I can't tell you how much Miyazaki inspires me-- the fanciful nature of his films quite literally spirit me away, and every time I think of his work, I'm just grateful I was born in a time and age where I could enjoy it.

Seeing this takes me back to the beautiful, surreal landscapes and characters of the film. It's bittersweet in ways I can't even...
You capture her perfectly. The lighting is great, the composition is great, the movement is great; and above all it just feels fresh and lively.

Ahhhh that is so cute! Love the mirror composition! I cried SO MUCH at that movie. SO MUCH. My head canon is that they eventually meet again and live happily ever after.

Wow this is amazing! I can even see the plot….. Chihiro walks home form a busy day of school about 19 days after
she left the imaginative world. Longing even to glimpse part of the world and friends once more and to even see Haku once more. Half way home it starts to rain and soon puddles began to form. Chihiro turns back like something was there but walks forward. She soon notices a puddle so beautiful it reminded her of a ocean but more like a river when the water flowed along the road. Then out of nowhere silvery scales are spotted in that little river but starts to drift away. She quickly runs until it stops to a puddle so amazing it reminded her the waters from the spirit world. As she was about to walk away, her eye catches a figure in the water. She gasps as it was her true friend… Haku. The dragon smiled and waves to her and she begins to cry. Haku then in the water looks like he is hugging her but motions her that he has to leave. She wipes her tear away and showed a smile. Haku then swiftly vanishes from the puddle and Chihiro stands there in the rain… remembering the amazing adventure, and walks home.
