Description

I’ve redone my LoC map, with a much more expanded story. This is only the first half of a greater story I’ve written down. It has since gone through huge changes and additions. Not all can be explained on this one map, but I did want to post what I believe is the better version. This is a sort of mirror verse to a fantasy/christian/kamen rider/warhammer themed world I’ve also began to write(separate from the Year of Our Lord map).

    It wasn’t supposed to be like this, the world wasn’t supposed to be ruled by tyrants. During the First World War, the German Empire was defeated by the Allies thanks to US military support. However, that didn’t change the fate of the world, it would that at some point in 1917, four Americans from the year 2017, found themselves on the front lines of the war. Michael Davis, Edward Achilles, Brandon Lane, John Richards. They weren’t necessarily the same people who they were before. They had new lives, new memories, but there beliefs remained what they were. After the War, the three headed back for the US, but Edward left for Austria and later Germany and pursue a scientific career. He became very sympathetic towards the Germans, he and his friends knew about Adolf Hitler, Stalin and the world of WW2. At least for a while, for they began to lose their memories of the old world. Though this process was incredibly slow, they still retained much of their knowledge thankfully, but the first to began to fade were their old childhoods, for their new memories took up that space. Doug and Brandon remained in the US, and thanks to the help of Doug’s father, set up a massive business empire called “Antiquity Industries” focused on technology, attempting to make products like TV, appliances, early 20th century devices more affordable. They even began to move into the car industry, rivaling Ford and General Motors. Michael Davis was a business celebrity, becoming the poster boy for American Businesses, however he became a very big critic of the stock exchange, believing it was going to bust based on the trends occurring. He was right, the stock market crashed and the Great Depression happened and 25% of Americans lost their jobs. Doug Michaels, ran for president for the Democratic party and won. He pursued policies to help curb the great depression, first making regulations on banks and the stock market to prevent such a disaster from ever occurring. He closed the Federal Reserve, and brought back tradition banking via the Gold Standard. His policies aided Americans by helping to shrink the Great Depression. He ran for President for multiple times to a degree not seen.
  The world however saw a change in the old guard, Adolf Hitler became the Fuher of the new German Reich, Japanese and Italian expansion, Brazil’s closeness to the new Axis alliance, and Mexico’s new Imperial government, which modeled itself off of the Italian model led to the US to increase militarization and growing closeness to Britain and France. During these past few decades, Edward Achilles became a strong supporter for National Socialist party for Germany and gained his citizenship in 1934. As a scientist he helped the German military machine develop the atom bomb in late 1945. It is unknown how but as he was able to access a connection to the Forbidden Zone, and established a connection with the Prince of Pride, and destroyer of nations Lucifer himself, not much is known after that. Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Brazil and others formed the axis powers. Germany’s first move was the annexation of Austria then to the German Sudetenland, then the rest of Czechoslovakia. In Asia, the Japanese were rapidly expanding into East Asia. The Italians, Brazilians, and Mexicans were preparing a massive buildup of arms. World War 2 began however when the Germans and Soviets invaded Poland, a British ally, and split it between the two. The Second Great War had begun, and world began to declare war against each other. The Germans with their new Blitzkrieg tactics were able to take over most of Western Europe, the Brazilians took over Guyana, Dutch and French Suriname and began to annex territories around it and the Mexicans took British Central America. The American worried prepared a secret invasion force across the Mexican-American border. President Davis cut off trade with the Axis powers, so in response the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, however most of the American fleet was away and they were only able to cause minor damage against the US Navy. This enraged the Americans and the United States declared War on the Axis powers soon after.
    In Europe the allies were falling, Germany won the Battle of Britain and began its invasion of the Island. America began to send troops to defend Britain and while the Germans were repelled off the British Isles, the Germans moved the European front to the East. Italy and Germany also fought the British in Africa and Italy fended off the British attempt to liberate Ethiopia and they invaded Egypt along with the Germans. As that was going on Italy had occupied the Balkans and Greece with the Germans to create Imperial Italy. In Europe the Axis were coming out ahead especially in Germany’s occupation of Moscow thanks to General Constantine Achilles, Edvard's son. However in the rest of the World that wasn’t the case, the Japanese were defeated in the Philippines. They were losing ships and men fast, they had slowed in China and didn’t have the resources to go against the US. The Mexicans had lost the war and were occupied and the Brazilians were on their last legs as the Pan-American alliance defeated the Brazilians. The Soviet Union faced internal collapse, and Stalin was assassinated by one of his commanders and he order a complete evacuation of Soviet civilians to the Eastern territories. Most were able to flee, but many were captured by the Germans. President Davis was assassinated by a Mexican nationalist, due to the US annexing territories in Mexico and Central America, in 1944 and his successor had continued the war effort. Davis was remembered as Legend, a War hero, a leader who led the US out of the Great Depression, and the great Uniter against the Axis menace. The Japanese Empire was beaten down, and the US launched the Atom Bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Germans acquired their own and launched one on Omsk and Astana. Like that the War was over.

The Argentines and Colombians became the US watchdogs in South America. Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. Later Indonesia was split between the Americans and British. The Soviets were still a military power in some sense to occupy pieces of Japanese East Asia, but they were weakened until 1949, when the People’s Republic of China was formed and United with the Communists in the North to form the Union of Soviet Sino Republics. However a Democratic Nationalist branch was formed in the far east near the Korean peninsula. With their own sphere in East Asia. The British and French were the biggest losers, the French were reduced to Madagascar and the British lost most of their Empire. The Indians attempted a violent breakaway that led to international coalition with Communists and Democrats split by North and South.
  The world has been split between the three powers, the Anglo-American Alliance, a Ecumenical Christian, Free Market bloc that adheres to some democratic principles but mostly ruled by the United Liberty Party, a break off of the Democrats formed by Jonathan Ernst, Philip Ernst’s nephew. As time past, the United States had expanded into South America due to military intervention as a result of Communist and Ultra-Nationalist conflicts. The US actually preferred Nationalists in the long run and actually was strongly patriotic. It just opposed National Socialism in many ways beyond Nationalism, same doubles for the Communists. Japan, Korea, and the Philippines have been thoroughly Americanized, same to a slight lesser extent to the new Latin American States. The British Commonwealth is a de-facto US protectorate but remains the strongest US ally since WW2. South Africa is an apartheid state that gets American support, although quite reluctant since the easing of racial tensions in the US. However the Anglo-American Alliance needs an American ally in Africa that is more than just France. Israel was formed by survivors of the Final Solution and many Slavic slaves escape to the USSR and Russian Republic. The AAA even has it’s own branch of the Catholic Church, the Columbian Church, with each side declaring each other heretics, however they have since become the largest Christian branch in the US mainly due to their influence in Latin America. The Crimson scare in the 1950s also established the firm stance the US had against both Communism and Nazism, which is seen as two sides of the same coin(they both have origins with Marx anyway).
    The Germans dominate Neuropa, with an Empire that experienced some prosperity however their economy has never been as strong as the US. The Germans have now mostly resettled the Eastern Territories, with the Slavs as slaves to their new German masters. Hitler had slowly began to eliminate Christianity from Germany with a form of Worship of the State, to the dismay of the Conservative Christians, who has slowly lost their voices within the Party. After the death of Adolf Hitler, Edward Achilles climbed up the ranks as the Fuhrer of the Greater German Reich. He had plans for the Reich, he knew early on without Adolf Hitler, the party would eat itself. To fix that problem, as Hitler’s second he arranged for the death of many of the high ranking party members and replace them with those who were allied to him. It was tough and precise, but with some help from beyond he achieved this. Since then he has been the Eternal Fuhrer, through technology developed with the use of the Forbidden Zone, he has successfully kept his body alive and transferred a psychic connection to each Chancellor. Hitler has been rebranded as the god of Germania, the Grand Leader, who’s has taken many forms over the centuries of German history, as according to German schools. Germany was granted territories in Africa after the war and has brought back African slavery, and many Germans moved to Africa when the Germans built up infrastructure and made the land more hospitable. The Italians have recreated the Roman Empire in a new image, Catholic and Romance. Spreading from Southern France in the West to Constantinople to Ethiopia. Even the Spanish state benefitted for it's late entry to the War gaining French and Portuguese territories. As time passed, Spain and Italy grew much more closer due to their similar culture and a harsh divide between the North and South has arisen as the Germany's anti-christian policies and pseudo paganism caused tension. Not to mention the economic difference between the two Spheres. Some Italian and Spanish politicians have considered joining the AAA but these Neuropa-sceptic movements are still in the minority. The Finns aren’t really democratic anymore, but have never embraced complete Fascism.
    The Soviet Union is the last power, representing the Communist bloc that seeks to establish a global revolution. Although strictly Atheist, they see the Stalin, Mao, Marx, Lenin as pseudo-divine figures, to be absolutely respected without question. Their disastrous labour policies in the early years have since been improved, but ended up costing millions of lives, some estimates beyond WW2, but this was mainly suffered by the largely Chinese portion of the USSR, so they quickly repopulated. They have the largest population, giving them the largest army on the planet making them a military power not to be trifled with. The USSR doesn't just regard itself as China, it believes itself to be the continuation of the USSR that was created by Lenin, so part of it's ongoing propaganda is the liberation of former Soviet territories in Central Asia and Europe. The Soviet Union has seen economic risings due to reforms in industry and agriculture which has quelled most revolutions, but this is the minimum as the state remains immensely powerful. Communism has since garnered up steam in the world with Communist Revolutions becoming more popular throughout the earth. However it still is limited in Asia, as is the case with the People's Republic of South Asia which is constantly shouting threats toward the US and it's ally Bharat.
  The Cold War was not limited to just Earth, no the space race only expanded the war zones, new planets were colonized and terraformed by the three powers, this led to new space faring nations to be founded, the AAA have the Slavic Empire as an example, which was founded by Russians who wanted to found a strong Empire in space to resettle their people in larger numbers. A few socialist systems were also born like the People’s Union of New Afrika, founded by blacks who left the US to found their own country to combat the US and Germany’s “whiteness.” Others like the New Caliphate, and many more. However they paled in comparison to the Xenos. Space was filled with many Xeno empires as well who through their lot in with the Cold War powers. Such as the religious quasi Christian Grenv, also known as the Greys(think of more humanoid grey aliens), their rival the Gau(less humanlike Grey, but taller), Kroxen(Lizard-like Tau), the Hive Collective, a cyborganic race, and the Karovans, a race of Minotaur like aliens who are known for their massive brutality. Each of them chose a side, ultimately dooming their own Empires in many ways.
  Technology has progressed steadily over the past few centuries, with the use of Atomics America utilized resources that were dried up on Earth and American consumption kept on going. Robots, new experimental laser weapons, spaceships and other gadgets once the realm of Science Fiction, Germany has been in constant competition with the US in that field and neither have gained a clear advantage over the other for decades. The USSR has lagged behind but recent reforms have led to greater modernization. The world is gearing up for another war, but it isn’t just Earth, it’s all her colonies and allies throughout the Milky Way and no ones when, but there will come a day when we see the world burn in Nuclear fire, and an even darker force is lurking in shadows, creatures from the spiritual realm who were spurned by God and plan to take advantage of the collapse, when that day comes, there will be a literal hell on Earth no nuke could even rival.
