Description Name: Medusa
Bell Length: 250 Meters
Length: 1545 Meters

Bio: Medusa is tha largest Kaiju ever discovered by a significant margin. Well over a Kilometer and a half long. However, despite this she is one of the least catastrophic Kaiju there are, this is for two reasons. The first is that unlike Normal Kaiju, she has no brain owing to her origins, and is only able to respond to stimulus without really acting on her own, the second is that she is incapable of leaving the water, though she may float upon its surface. It is believed that she is prehistoric in nature, much like Tardgrade Maximus and Rukh. Possibly being older than Rukh, though this is unknown.

How she remained hidden for so long remains a mystery, but it is known that it was Crypto that eventually lead to her discovery.
Reguardless, her behavior makes her easily studied with only minor precautions.

Several curiosities regarding her compared to other Jellyfish species include her Bell Shape, which possesses Bilateral symmetry, as opposed to radial Symmetry. It is believed that this resulted in mutations from the Gigas Strain. It has been noted that her bell shape resembles a man o' war and her 'stalk resembles that of aΒ giant siphonophore, but genetic testing proves that she is entirely unrelated and is in fact a single organism.
.

Abilities
Stingers - Medusa is armed with nematocysts coating every inch of her tentacles. When touched they release venom that is both extremely painful and extremely fatal.

Regeneration - Medusa is unique as she is followed by smaller clones of her self created when she becomes damaged. to date none of these clones equal her in size, but many can equal a Kaiju in size. Medusa can heal from any injury, with pieces that have fallen off of her producing more of her species.

Sensory Expansion - Despite not having a brain, Medusa possesses decentralized nerve net and ganglion like structures as well as hundreds if not hundreds of thousands of highly sophisticated Pigment spot Oceli giving her a view of the world around her giving her complex image forming eyes and allowing her to detect light, orientation, water salinity, and physical contact. She is considered the worlds most intelligent Jellyfish, though considering Jellyfish lack a brain, this is by default. Β

The Gigas Strain- The Gigas strain is a unique virus born due to the unique D.N.A. Repair mechanism of Tardigrade Maximus. After stealing the D.N.A. of Tardigrade Maximus, the virus would remain Dormant for millennia, with few cases popping up during various eras in time when Tardigrade Maximus awoke from his stasis. Once infected, the virus passes vertically from parent to child. This increases the chance of later horizontal infection. Each successive generation tends to be larger than the last. Gigantism is a common symptom of infection by the Gigas strain, though sizes tend to increase with each new generation.

it's rare to see a jellyfish or siphonophore as a Kaiju, great work!, there are still many creatures needing for a Kaijufication, a Ctenophore should be one.

I have many Kiajufied creatures I thought were original. I try and stay away from Kaiju animals already used.

Pretty cool looking jellyfish monster. Don't see many of them nowadays.

She's also the largest Kaiju in my little universe by a lot. I'm working on a full picture with her next to other Kaiju to show how big she is.

Yeah, a majority of your other kaiju are more Showa-ish in size, which is cool. I actually prefer smaller kaiju, though a few super big ones don't hurt.

Everyone needs the occasional mile long monster.
