Bio

The Wanderer of Azure Flame is a unique Fae Touched resembling a blue stag with the head of a barn owl. It dwells amidst a herd of majestic Fae Touched known as the Peryton, creatures with the graceful forms of deer and the elegant wings of birds. While its companions soar through the skies on wings of iridescent feathers, the Wanderer moves with the wind itself, its hooves skimming the currents of air that weave through the Wyrd, allowing it to keep up with the winged herds. Despite lacking the aerial prowess of the Perytons, the Wanderer has found its place as the leader of the herd, guided by instincts honed over countless generations.

In its role as leader, the Wanderer exhibits a blend of innate wisdom and instinctual guidance. It possesses a keen awareness of its surroundings, able to sense shifts in the winds and subtle changes in the natural world. This intuitive connection to the elements allows it to navigate the ever-changing landscapes of the Wyrd with unparalleled grace and agility. 

Through subtle gestures and vocalizations, the Wanderer communicates with its companions, guiding them towards food sources, shelter, and safety. During times of danger, the herd faces threats from predators or rival creatures of the Wyrd. Should escape be impossible and the illusions created by the Wanderer are broken, the Wanderer will rally its fellow Perytons to defend their kin. Peryton stags will heed the Wanderer's call to arms, standing alongside their leader in a formidable display of strength and unity. Together, they form a formidable defense, allowing the does and fawns to escape to safety.



Powers, Skills, and Abilities

Windrunning - The Wanderer possesses the unique ability to run upon the air itself giving it the ability to run alongside the flying Perytons it travels with, harnessing the elemental forces of the wind to propel itself with incredible speed and agility. This allows it to traverse the landscape effortlessly, moving with grace and swiftness unmatched by any mundane creature. Additionally, it can summon gusts of wind to aid in its movements or disorient adversaries when necessary.

Elemental Affinity - The Wanderer is attuned to elemental energies, primarily wind and fire. It can manipulate air currents, summoning everything from gentle breezes to conjuring powerful gusts to repel foes. Additionally, it has a natural affinity for fire magic, manifesting flames in various forms, from ethereal wisps to blazing infernos. This fire is unusual in that it seems incapable of burning living flora, though dead plant matter burns normally. The Wanderers connection to the elemental forces of air and fire also grants it a degree of resilience against these elements. It can withstand extreme temperatures and resist the effects of harsh weather conditions, allowing it to endure in environments that would prove inhospitable to lesser creatures.

Illusionary Cloak - The Wanderer can veil itself and its companions in illusions, concealing their presence from prying eyes. This ability seems to be and instinctive reaction, and not under direct control of the Wanderer, but it does allow it to evade detection or deceive adversaries during confrontations. The illusions created by the Wanderer are highly convincing, capable of fooling even the keenest observers.
