Cold War danced with energy on the day of the Cross Country event at OVEC. The wind flew briskly over the course, sending entry numbers and fliers askew. The red flags whipped in the wind like rattlesnake tails. Meredith tried her best to hold him back as they waited for their turn on the course. At last the few beeps that signaled the start of their time mercifully called. War spray forward without a doubt and galloped headlong to the first jump, completely oblivious to Meredith's attempts to keep him at a slower pace.

With the high winds howling and War's nerves nearly frayed, somehow the two factors seemed to work in their favor. The stallion flew at remarkable speeds over the course, sweeping over the jumps almost recklessly. The water loomed before them before long like it had so many times before when they practiced. War didn't seem to notice all of the frightening things that might be lurking beneath the depths for once and bounded over the wood jump.

This will be interesting, Meredith thought to herself.

War and Meredith competing in the High Tide Tournament .

That's not even what Meredith is really supposed to look like, and I'm tempted to blur her out but I'll probably still not be happy with it.

But the detail I put into it I think came out well, I'm not too much of a detailist. o.o Haha, the saddlepad War is wearing is the same one I have in RL.
