No you're not! I like to think she is too! I know there's no proof, but if you consider the fact that Pinkie's flash back was from when she was a little filly: Inkie/Octavia could have matured physically since then. Her coat and mane could have become healthier over the years due to the fact that she had been outside in the sunshine and fresh air for years after the incident. Being in the sunlight is healthy for your hair and skin so that might be the case.
