Description
Simple, yet very time-consuming fox portrait. Yes, I know I said I should do more full-bodies... After I've finished the next wolf portrait *hides in corner* That is, at least, the plan.
So, til then, have a fox. I'm satisfied with it, for once, apart from the background... I might revisit that.
Reference photo from wildlifereferencephotos. Colored pencils. Some 12-15 hours?

I love the drawing of the fox, but theres one thing I am unsure of, that is the background. I do not know your goal or idea for the background behind the fox, if I knew the concept fully, then I can critque.Β

Really though, I love how vibrant the coat is and the contouring of its fur as the muscles move. Just perfect.Β
Maybe next time though, the fox's shadow could be in the background, instead of the black areas of colour...? I think if the background was supposed to give it a sinister look (or something like that) then that could work better...Β
