Just looked at it again for the morning and noticed the polycount logo.
I guess that would've told me it's personal work if I had noticed it before.

If the floor displacement/parallax mapped?
Or did you model each mound?

Teach me the ways of the enviroment artist warrior!
This is really really inspiring and amazing to look at, how long roughly did this take you and can you suggest and tutorials and/or online training for creating good structures/modular enviro's?

and watched btw had to be done with all that talent.

Very good rendering, very close to the original.
But - it's not medieval, it's more like the begining of the Industrial Era which was around the 1600's to 1800's. Medieval would go back farther and wouldn't have powerlines. This might be better for a more "steampunk" kind of described fantasy world.
But it really is a great render!

Awesome... But wy wires on a medieval town??

beere In reply to Marotto [2012-02-16 17:43:02 +0000 UTC]

From the concept I'd say it's from the end of the 1800th or beginning of 1900th, so electric wires wouldn't be an impossible sight.
I liked the concept and I thought the wires added some interesting lines to the composition.
