Description
Commissioned Kudu Head. It is part of a full costume but the body is much too large for me to model
The customer let me make this one up as I pleased. Not a bad policy as, given free rein, I tend to go nuts on the details.
The horns are removable.

This amazingly done, but being a South African I just have to point out that a kudu's horns grow up and not backward.

When we see living kudu, they have their nose pointed down. This head is pointing forward, more like how our faces are.

Relative to the skull, they grow back. Along the same plane as the nose.

They evedently start to grow upward when the kudu comes of age.

Whats the secret to removable horns? How do they work exactly

What are the horns made out of? I'm trying to make a set on my new suit, and I'm not exactly sure what to do.

These ones are mostly celluclay and then I covered them in latex. Celluclay works really well for small to mid-sized horns. It's light and surprisingly strong.

LOVE KUDUS. Working on a kudu character right now, actually. So I'm completely serious in saying that those horns are the most boss thing this side of narwhals.

Wow, nice! I've got a mask I'm working on, myself, that needs horns. What is your method for those? They look kinda like papier mache, and I'm hoping it's that easy. XD
