Description A bagpack I made to practice constructing them. Also I really loved the colourful fabric, so was itching to use it for something.

I improvised this one a bit, so the shape is a bit weird, but overal it is not a bad bag for a first try with this pattern I think

What do you think? Any tips?

That IS cool material.  Well, I like that the top flap looks asymmetric - was that a happy accident? When you say "pattern", did you draft one yourself, use a published pattern, or just wing it with no paper template?

Thank you . And it was a happy accident. This bag started with a vague idea of how to make bags like this, after which I drew the pattern myself ( I never understand those they give you in magazines). I tend to improvise a lot though, and am not really precise with my patterns. Usually, you can fix anything when you put a border on or something like that.  What I actually tried to say is that I had a very fun weekend where I put this bag together like a maniac winging it. I find working like that once in a while gives me a very good feel for fabric, patterns and construction
