Description
This is a graphite drawing of O'Riley I did for my Gramps for Christmas
I put in about 5 or 6 hours on this one, one sitting last night took me around 3. I haired the whole thing, didn't like the look, and smudged it over again. I used all mechanical pencils and one 02 HB. Enjoy!
PS: My scanner hates me. mwah.

awwww cuteee ♥ I think I asked before and you said you indented the paper so that you wouldn't shade in the whiskers...
but how do you do that ;O; I still don't get it;

Haha you take a sharp-ish blunt object (i know total opposite but you get what i mean) and press down on the paper until it leaves an indent. make sure you have something soft in the background. if you want sharper whiskers, you have to use a sharp mechanical pencil and erase the graphite. then you shade over it, being careful not to go in the indent.

what's your definition of a sharpish blunt object O_O I mean, a pencil... but I tried that before and erasing the pencil from the indent was....
and I guess this doesn't apply to printer paper then? or binder paper; or old math worksheets; ? or does it work there too?

I'd say on top of a pile of paper, any paper, and like a mechanical pencil with no lead in it would work
