Description
The party was in full swing in honour of the ninths victory. The general and his senior men attended and partied with the local patricians, landowners and slaves alike. The sound of music, laughter, cheers and moans echoed the hallsMy most complicated picture yet with over 30+ brand new characters made for this scene especially although there are a couple of familiar faces there at the party from roman comics. Rendered in three parts and the composited together. one was prematurely stopped by a crash another had to be restarted after a power cut and 12 hours rendering wasted.

ahh sorry. her being clothed was deliberate. I imagine she as others have important jobs to keep the party going and being clothed means she will for the most part not be bothered and thus ruin planned entertainment

By all the figures it's less then I think. But still at this level CGI is real art like oil-painting orΒ sculpturing! Bow!Β

The variety of poses and characters, the soft lights and some reflection on bodies...
Remind me some classic painting from the 19th century but also modern series like Rome or Spartacus.
'hope to see more like it in the future but I know that such picture is very time consuming to achieve...

I have to say that this is an absolutely amazing scene!
Your attention to detail is outstanding and you really have a feel for the period. I really can understand why you had to render in three parts, I do similar myself hehe.
It's the little details that really make the scene believable. The little gecko's on the column and wall, the two parrots on the statue, the slightly glum look on the serving girls face and the water coming out of the lions head on the statue!
I like also how you snuck you signature in there too
