Your second classic one for Roman slave market, maybe better in some point than your 2015 version,
better rendering engine I suppose.
We can feel the despair and insecure of the poor women, waiting to be sell to an inknow and maybe cruel master.
All always diversity of bodies, skins tones and poses, empty space, out of frame customer and the black areas in the picture to achieve an
unique artistic frame.

They lost a war, they deserve a future as slaves.
they can only hope to be sold to a gentle master, but not to a mistress: roman matrons hated the beuaty of the slavegirls and were brutal to them

Thank you. before even started i studied the masters of Orientalism. It is because of that influence i think this is one of my best images i have ever done. I think becuase of the dispair and all the emotions i pulled off.Β this actually the original version

That's a very good one! The Leeloo-like redhead looks as if she's about to do a runner, naked or not.

You've really well got the expressions you aimed to restitute, even boredom, which was a great idea. More generally in all your Roman work, the light and shadow work is amazing. I also admire your decision to keep all the female bushes, the casual coposures of the laymen, etc. Just need more of this!

I don't know why people considered a bad thing the slavery in ancient times.
It was right and fair. Every people did it.
The defeated are enslaved to guarantee the prosperity of the winner.
The slaves were treated as animals, but what's wrong (then not today)?
The conquerors needed to be brutal to dominate and submit the defeated.
Humiliation, whipping, nudity, hard work were some of the methods to subdue the slaves.
And it was fair in roman times

For me you've definitely captured some of the feel of a painting, esp the girl lower left. I actually thought to myself 'Looks more painted than rendered.' The other thing I'm impressed with is you've created a scene without a single recognisable character. Usually I know, or have a good idea who the base figure is. That said, I'm really not that familiar with the multitude of characters out there so maybe strike that one off?
Overall a believable scene. And the Roman Parrot Dealer, I know him, real-life actor, his name is... oh damn!

he looks like the late Simon MacCorkindale i think at least with this pose.
Β ironicaly the the black girl and the girl on the floor left are Adam Thwaites characters straight out of the box. But almost always i at least change the skins to make them different and change bits and bobs to fit my own tastes. the girl on the far right is also a straight adam character.
Β i bought three this weekend but i hid her face to the side and then with hair as i think now she looks too young.

this is an instant fav. The poses are very believable, the light good as well. Some of the figures are VERY lifelike (a particular note goes to the black girl and the officer standing in the window). The textures are also well chosen. Overall I must say this image by far surpases most of the DAZ stuff out here in DA.
