This piece can reflect such sadness in such great detail, yet be so simple. It's beautiful, really. Though, the "girl" seems tobe a little bit off, it looks like it's floating more than it looks like a shadow. If that's the idea, then my bad.

Very touching, especially for me. This piece of art pretty much perfectly sums up how I feel every day since the love of my life passed away 8 years ago. Mind you, I've found another love interest recently, but there are still days that I wish my previous love was there, holding my hand, and being with me...But the sad, cold, hard truth, is that she's not...and never will be, ever again.
Thank you for drawing this. It's beautiful. It's helped me in a way.

Reminds me of something involving a divorce, or remembering that your sister graduated while you were still a kid and she went off on her own.. The latter seems like a hard thing to deal with.
