Playing around with the watercolours I got for Christmas
C&C welcomed, as I haven't used watercolours in a long time and have almost forgotten how to use them! Expect some more of these to follow in the next few weeks as I attempt to improve.
I'm still not sure that this is complete, but I thought I'd submit it to see if anyone has any suggestions, or wants to say that they think it is complete. I've been staring at it for days and still don't know!

first i thought, "the color are so light", but when i saw more of it, i thought" it look perfect" , the way the fishes turned out, the tale, and how u marked the fishes with black color. It all look so fantasy type, the leaf, and how u painted the water color, it reminds me about disney movies, and i still love them, and also this drawing. If its okey, i am interested in to draw with watercolor, with this drawing as inspiration. Iam really not good in water color....
Anyway, i really like this drawing, it gave me good feelings

I really like the details on the lilly pads, and the Koi are beautiful. This is a very nice peice. I myself just started working with watercolours and must say I really enjoyed it.

Watercolors may be hard . But you cant help but love them . There are so many endless possibilities with them . I have to show you this one watercolor artist she makes me green with envy . She is to awsome XD [link]

Yeah it's so hard! You have to be really patient with it. The secret is to let everything dry before you attempt to do anything even remotely close to your previous layer. Otherwise there's trouble!

Yeah! Damn it and its secrets... I had no idea how to do watercolours properly and would hate it when the colours bled in to eachother... until I read a tutorial!

this is cool, you are really good at using watercolours, I like how you managed not to use too few or too much colour. nicely done, I always have problems when I use watercolours! great!

Thank you so much for such an inspiring comment- That's so lovely that you've taken the time to look at it in depth. I love colours- but I'm so afraid to use them most of the time. Recently I've been pushing myself out of my comfort zone and using colour more.
Watercolours are hard because you need lots of patience to let it dry in between layers

Me too! Sometimes I feel that with monochromatic tones it's easier to draw the eye to different details that we want them to see- without colour confusing everything... if that makes sense?

There are so many coloured pictures that really fascinate me and in which the colour is what makes them look great, but black and white pictures attract attention in their own special way
