I love both Nightlight and Jack Frost but I don't agree they are the same exact person. William Joyce did a poor job with connecting them. Though, if there is a chance of a continuation. I do hope Nightlight makes an appearance even if he is just a flashback.

You read the wiki wrong. NightLight has been established in the books WAY BEFORE Jackson Overland Frost comes around.

Well, the books come in a few hundred years before the movie xD Also I'm not sure if the movie follows the books that close. There are a lot of big differences between the two of them, character- and plotwise. But we will see what Mr. Joyce has planned for us <3

and if they make a sequle to the movie they may bring in chracters that were never shown like Nightlight Mother Nature and those evil Monkeys.
