That's so nice that you share this example!Could you please tell, when you started to work on storyboard, have you already completed the sketches for backgrounds of storyboard or you were actually figuring out what will be in the background during the process of making of the storyboard? What info on story and visual data you already had before the beginning of the storyboard creation?

I don't research anything before I start drawing, which probably isn't the best way to do it.
Before I begin drawing, I write out a simple script of what I want to happen. You can read the script for this one here:
docs.google.com/document/d/11i…
The 3 chases are color coded so that I could easily see if I was spending about the same time on each one.
Then, when I sit down to start working on storyboards, I look at the scene and look up the things I don't know about. For example, the first one, I didn't know about motorcycles or cars.
The next scene, I didn't know anything about espresso machines or coffee shops.
For scene 3, I didn't know how to make the characters jump around buildings, so I looked at videos of parkour/free running.
However, this particular assignment had a really tight deadline. I think one week? If I had more time, I would probably want to study the subject matter more.

Hey Besty!
I know that I made a silly comment on your last storyboard assignment with Mugen in it but
I just got hit with a really big animation and story assignment myself currently. And I am falling really behind because life doesn't
always goes the way you planned, LOL.
But I wanted to let you know that looking through your storyboards and work, is really helping me to stay pumped and is helping me keep my head in the game,
so thank you for that!
And I can't wait to see what you'll post next!

Awh man, I totally understand you there. In a lot of my animation projects, I had to often cut a lot of scenes and actions out because they were much to ambition for the limited amount of time hehehe.
But thank you for the luck and the wishes! I'll speak to you soon enough hahaha
