drugged and blown-out- just the way i like em. haha. it was weird i had to resubmit this one because on my computer in NorCal her face seems F'd up with lots of yellow. I'm workin off of a laptop with a plasma screen and it's hard to color calibrate. Originally I wanted a white background with a pale white face. emphasis on the eyes and outline of her face. haha ya they're way dialated. gracias.
FYI i just bought a Sigma 17-35mm, and a Sigma 28-300mm. I need a flash really bad, but I don't wanna spend the money. haha. I got 3 wedding's that I'm supposed to shoot. All law enforcement related. how funny. woops.

Good composition. The highlights (esp. skin tones on her face) look a little blown out. Also, I'm a fan of the "blow-the-background-to-white" effect, but I think its a tad overused. Do you have a lens with a narrow DOF you could try instead?

In that shot, the DOF is a little too deep, but you get the idea. Leaving the background keeps you connected to your surroundings (unless thats exactly what you didn't want). That shot wouldn't feel the same if you couldn't tell it was taken in the car while I was driving
One more thing: her pupils look like she's on drugs. Did you fire a preflash at all? Was this taken in a dark(er) room? Red-eye lamp?
Just a few thoughts. Otherwise, kickass portrait.
