And just a random sketch of Bryagh from the old ass movie by Rankin/Bass, The Flight of Dragons ([link] ).I loved that dragon. SO MUCH. He was evil...so...meh. Hand in hand. Though I did love Smrgol and Gorbash too - but more so when Gorbash was "possessed"...I think that's a good word for it.
I may end up attempting to color him since this sketch is pretty simple compared to how I actually draw my dragons...but i'm preoccupied fussing with other crap at the moment.
IF you haven't seen that movie, well, it's by the same people who made The Last Unicorn animated movie; among others like The Hobbit and Return of the King. It's full of fantasy and what not, and really good. Unless you have some aversion to the animation but, well, nostalgia town - I used to watch it like every friggin' day almost and it's why I started drawing dragons after the dinosaurs so bleh.
The movie itself is a combo of the book The Flight of Dragons by Peter Dickenson AND a book I think called "The Dragon and the George". I've always wanted the first book, didn't find out about the second one until way later.

AWESOME sketch of the baddest badass evil dragon EVER! Bryagh was a BEAST, and Gorbash & Old Smrgol were kickass too. Flight of Dragons was one of my fave cartoons as a kid as well, watched it to DEATH, the guys who made those old fantasy toons were brilliant, wish they still made ones like that :3

The Flight of Dragons. Though It hasn't been released in years, last thing was a VHS and the Dvd isn't exactly done by a real company or something, but I was able to,uh, find it. Haven't watched it yet though.

Oh my goodness if you haven't seen it should look into it! Though it's a little hard to find...sorta kinda. I was able to get a hold of it however...though i'm not going to poke at it juuuust yet.
