88th Expeditionary Fleet is led by the Gloriana class battleship “ALPHA” and “BETA” the Alpha Legion Legion Flagship.

ALPHA served as the flagship of the Legion and alternate with BETA as the Flagship of the Primarch ALPHARIUS/OMEGON. When the Legion turned traitor due to the revelation gained by the Cabal, Alpha aided by Beta in destroying the 670th Imperial Expeditionary fleet in its first open act of rebellion. Alpha led legion forces during the Battle of the Alaxxes Nebula, ambushing the Space Wolves Legion fleet. During the Solar war Alpha led 200 Alpha Legion warships at the Battle of Pluto attacking Pluto and it’s moons Charon, Styx, Nix, Kerberos (heavily armed orbital fortress), Hydra (Astropathic station) and the Khthonic warp gate (warp gate built during the dark age of technology that allows easy access to the sol system bypassing the standard Mandeville points). An Lernaen elite terminator strike force lead by Alpharius assaulted Hydra. Before victory could be gained by Alpharius the Phalanx itself arrive over Pluto leading a massive imperial fleet commanded by Rogal Dorn. The insuring void conflict saw the death of Alpharius, and the Alpha Legion fleet being shattered before retreating into the void.
