I liked this picture, so I used it in a video I made. The video is for a book I like called "The Forest f Hands and Teeth." Your name has been placed on your picture in this video. If you'd like to see the video please click the link bellow:

I've not seen the poster but the movie was pretty creepy for it's time. Glad you liked it.

Great shot. Well composed and it looks great, but perhaps a tigher crop on the top of the image would work well?

Ah I see what you mean, get rid of the trees, moreso anyways. Then it's more about the subject...the fence and the shadows. I'll give that a try now.
Just tried it. I think the trees look a little odd with a tighter crop at the top because you can't quite tell what the "lump" is when it's really a tree. That's just me though.
Thanks for the comment

ah thank you. I've had the picture compared to something by Tim Burton and now the classic "to kill a mockingbird" is stirred into someones mind. Better response on this image than I expected all around. Thanks again.

i really like this one, out of all three, my favorite. i love light going through vertical or horizontal lines, beautiful. maybe you should add more contrast or brightness, i don't know maybe that's me. the darker for photos like these, the better, sometimes. lol.

Again, I tweaked the levels for a while with this one. I found that at this level the trees further back dissappear while keeping the trees in the foreground. However, if you went much darker the trees began to disappear a little too much for my likeing and it became a picture of the fence and only the fence.
Thanks fot the input.

Love the shadow (reather light) comming through the fence onto the dark ground. Makes for a perfect horror movi scene or haunting photo. You obviously put some though into this, and it shows. Great work.

Thanks a lot. I did actually put more thought into this one than I typically do. In fact I took roughly 7 or 8 pictures that were this or slight variations of the same. Glad you like it.

Ah thank you. You are right, the underexposure is a result of attempting to get the pitch black shadows. The real image is actually surprisingly well exposed although it is still very dark in the top right corner, I've just exagerated it. I'd not considered the crop initially because I liked the length of the shadows and the feel of the picture. Now that you mention it a crop would resolve the negative space. I think that this, however, is part of what gives the image an eerie feel...that much space just isn't right. I'll give it a try at home to see if there's a big improvement, otherwise I think I'll leave it.
Thanks for the comment on the work, it's much appreciated.

Thanks, I'll admit I'm a little surprised with the number of comments I've been getting on this one. I figured it would a much less appreciated picture.

This shot is really well taken. It gives an eery feel to it and if there was a black cat in the foreground it would be completely spooky. I think you took this one at the perfect angle, letting the shadows of each picket drag out front. Good eye! Great shot!

Thanks. I took the shot a bunch of times so it wasn't a one shot wonder. More of a brute force method, man I'm glad I use digital and not film...I'd be poor...very poor.

I love shadows like that.
And the fence is really cool.
Love how dark it (the pic) is on the right.
And how my eyes are drawn to the fence.

Well thank you. I couldn't resist taking the picture when I saw the fence from the top of the hill. It was just asking for it.
