Is it water? It looks like mercury the way you froze it in action! awsome

He he, nah it's water. I've just got it in a silver sink so it looks like mercury .

I clicked "random deviation" and it brought me to your picture and then I looked through the rest too.

you must have some amazing camera for captures like these!

Not particularly, it's an Olympus C-460 which retails in Australia for $437ish, it just happens to have a decent macro setting on it.

I do love the colours you have captured in your water shots, very natural and beautifully captivating

Wow, very nice timing to capture this. I'm sure it must've taken a lot of skill to do that. Only problem is that it seems sort of grainy, well to me it does anyways. I'm so blind that my eyes play tricks on me.

Very nicely done though, keep up the good work!

Yeah it is unfortunatly grainy because I had to crop a section out of a larger photo. The original was 2288x1712 (4MP) which should give you an indication of how much was cropped. It was taken before I knew of the super macro on my camera so at the time I coulden't have gotten any closer.

anyway, thanks for the comment .

take a look at my water shots...they are tough...still feel like I'm learning, and all

I used a Nikon SLR 35mm

what did you use?

Biogenesis In reply to krazeric [2004-05-23 06:56:49 +0000 UTC]

I should just resize copies of the originals so that the camera information stays in the file. It's taken with an Olympus C-460. It's 4MP w/3xoptical zoom.

The specific settings were something like:

macro on
full zoom
2288x1712 "HQ" setting
flash on

not sure of specific numbers on the exposure etc sorry.
