Well, there go Birchy's dreams of becomming Best Friends with the cat he was named after. *Sighs* Poor sensative Birchy. >.> Well he is sensative because irl I'm a girl of course.This is for 's contest.
You either had the option of drawing your O.C./Fursona or drawing your favorite Warrior Cat.
I did both.
This took about 1-2 hours. Somewhere in between that but I had fun with it...
Panel 1 is in my normal style
Panel 2 Is in my "Tertullian" Chibi style. I named it Tertullian because he was the first cat I did in it.

The background is actually interesting. It looks like they are floating in a sea of amoebas O_O
I don't know why but I like it when you draw a picture of someone with a big fluffy tail curled around them. I don't think most cat's tails are really that fat, but I still like it
I can tell the differences with the chibi style now, and I like how you used it here.

Actually he would. He was originaly a warrior cat role play character who eventually evolved into my fursona char.
I didn't have any good bg ideas but that really was fun and it made his happy moment even brighter.

I'm glad you like the chibi style. I actually have found places apropreate in the comic where the chibi style can be used in the actual panels. Pages 14 and 16 are two of those pages

SQUEEE! I am also beyond pleased that people are reading and loving Detective Cats. I've planned it out for so long (seriously over a year) and at last people are enjoying the story even though only 2 chapters are finished. I am working hard on the first page of Chapter 2 (page 10) right now!~

I'm glad you are happy with this. Heh I am used to both reading from left to right and right to left. Well there was one panel that was right to left like a manga.
After all I've put into the story of Detective Cats, there is no way I could ever abandon such a project. I'm always excited when I read over the script or imagine my favorite future events. I wanna keep drawing this comic and watch my art style change through it (which between the Prologue and chapter 1 its obvious my style has already changed)

I just got finished reading Fruits Basket, so I get bit confused; usually my brain works properly and I'm not this disoriented xD
That's the way I am when I start big things... But I'm a professional procrastinator. I always end up putting it off. I used to want to be a novelist because I read at like... a 12 grade level o.o (Or so I've been told, I think they lie) But I can never stick to what I start. I have so many half written stories it's not even funny.
I noticed the style change a little bit too, but I didn't think it was drastic. My favorite part has to be Starbuck's "WHAAT?!" THat makes him my favorite character so far, with just one word.

You already found it by the time I realized it. Darkstripe, Jena, Starbuck, Frosty, Bojay, Walker, Oreo, Tertulian, Angel, and some other cats I probably forget are real cats.
The fact that Darkstripe and Starbuck don't get along is also baised on real life.
