This was a birthday gift box i made for an old friend, who just happened to be born on Friday the 13thIts a collection of interesting and symbolic objects, good luck charms, items that are considered bad omens/good omens and other assorted uncommon and interesting objects

I have one as well that I wear on occasion, I think (i could be wrong) that that pendant is the hand of Fatima, they are supposed to ward off the evil eye

as far as the pendant is concerned its similar enough to the hand of Fatima it might be a proto-version
but I'm dubious as the hand of Fatima usually has two thumbs and no pinkie.
I would say though its good protection

Your totally welcome, you've got some really cool stuff in your gallery (which I really look forward to exploring in greater detail) You are right about the hand of Fatima, It probably is a proto version or possibly a slightly different take on it, Its interesting how many symbols are almost universal, like the hand with an eye

yeah, and its a left hand and it also has that Stonehenge shape at the top, I have tried looking it up over the years but no luck.

No, i actually got mine at a really cool store that sells minerals and fossils just north of Pittsburgh called the Allegheny rock shop,.. When i lived in Pittsburgh it was one of my favorite places to visit, this place was amazing, they actually had things like mammoth tusks, 2 foot wide ammonites and dinosaur eggs for sale, they also had an unusual assortment of charms and jewelry..
Im going to take a pic of mine tonight or tomorrow and ill send you a note when i post it :-D,.. so if we do race i think you'll beat me easily

Nah I wont be posting the tee-shirt,
And YES those lat min deadlines are fun, it seems like the most mundane and simple things take 10x longer when your down to the last min,.. scanner problems, paper jams, software suddenly being cranky... lol

Haha,.. yea, it was fun to work on something a little different just for fun.
I have jars and cabinets full of strange little artifacts and odds and ends i find here and there, I thought it would be a fun use for some of them.
I plan on making a couple more of these eventually
